Romans 10:1-11

Walk the Talk, seems to be the call from Paul today. I think one of the biggest criticisms of the church I hear, one of the biggest barriers for people to join, is the perception that Christians are hypocrites. I think the problem with this assertion is that largely they are right. It's easy to be a good, loving, faithful Christian on Sunday morning. It is easy to talk about loving and serving your neighbor. Not so easy to do once you return home. It is a sad state of affairs. Still we keep trying to walk the talk. Perhaps, even, someday we will get it.

John 2:1-11

I'm not sure why, but I seem to have wedding on the brain, so this was an appropriate passage for me today... I can't believe the wedding is only 4 days away....

A few things that strike me in the passage:

1. Even Jesus is not immune to having his mother tell him what to do come wedding time.

2. It would appear that Jesus would like for us to have fun.

3. I gather that it is in the little things that God more often works the miracles than in the spectacular.

So my prayer today would be that we have fun and that God would open our hearts to see the many little miracles that God is working around us.
